The Lagos State Government says police have arrested a man accused of allegedly threatening and intimidating his daughter-in-law following the death of her husband in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro learnt this from an official statement issued by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency on Wednesday.
According to the agency, it was alerted on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to a viral report alleging threats, intimidation and an attempt to dispossess the widow of her late husband’s property by members of her husband’s family.
The agency said it subsequently established contact with the widow, identified simply as Tosin, who alleged that she had been subjected to threats to her life, physical assault and intimidation after the recent death of her husband.
