Lagos Zonal Office of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, has resolved about 15,000 consumer complaints received through its online and physical channels within the zone.
The Zonal Coordinator of the commission, Dr Olubunmi Otti, disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists at the FCCPC office in Ikeja.
Otti explained that consumers could submit complaints through the commission’s official website or visit its Lagos Corporate Office to seek redress when they are dissatisfied with products or services.
She noted that consumers have a legitimate expectation of receiving value whenever they pay for goods or services, adding that those whose expectations are not met have the right to seek assistance from the FCCPC.
According to her, consumers are expected to first raise their complaints directly with the relevant service provider and seek a resolution before approaching the commission.
