Fintiri relaxes Mubi curfew, warns criminals, troublemakers 

Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri, has relaxed the curfew imposed on Mubi Local Government Area as part of efforts to restore normal activities and support businesses in the area.

The new curfew arrangement takes effect immediately. Vehicular movement, including tricycles and electric bicycles, will now be restricted between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily, while people moving on foot can remain outside until 10:00 p.m.

The change followed a review of the security situation in Mubi, one of Adamawa State’s major commercial centres.

Fintiri praised Mubi residents for obeying the earlier curfew, saying their cooperation helped security agencies restore peace in the area.

He said Mubi’s importance to trade, agriculture and cross-border commerce made it necessary to create an environment where businesses could operate without fear.
