FMBN assures customers of uninterrupted operations after Abuja headquarters fire

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria has assured customers, stakeholders and the general public that its operations remain uninterrupted following the fire incident that affected part of its headquarters in Abuja on Saturday night.

The reassurance comes two days after PUNCH Online reported that a fire broke out on the second floor of the bank’s head office in the Central Business District of Abuja, with emergency responders successfully containing the blaze before it spread to other sections of the building.

Emergency responders were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other sections of the complex, while officials immediately commenced an assessment of the extent of the damage.

In an update issued on Monday and signed by the Group Head, Corporate Communications, Joe Abuku, the bank said the fire had been brought under control and that business activities had continued as normal.
