An Abuja-based music and lifestyle platform, Freqie Space, has unveiled an initiative aimed at changing the narrative around emerging artistes in the Federal Capital Territory.
The platform’s ‘The Great Wall Playlist’ initiative is designed to spotlight promising musicians from Abuja and connect them with a wider audience in Nigeria’s competitive music industry.
For years, many artistes from Abuja have struggled to gain visibility beyond the city, as commercial opportunities and industry attention have largely been concentrated in Lagos, Nigeria’s entertainment hub.
However, Freqie Space believes the capital has continued to produce talented musicians whose creativity deserves recognition and a broader platform.
Unlike traditional playlists that are often influenced by chart positions and streaming numbers, it was stated that The Great Wall Playlist focuses on originality, creativity and sounds that represent the evolving identity of Abuja’s music scene.
