The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has said a series of administrative, technological, and operational reforms introduced since he assumed office in May 2024 significantly improved the agency’s efficiency, strengthened road safety enforcement, and repositioned the agency as one of Nigeria’s top-performing public institutions.
Speaking during a media parley with journalists in Lagos on Thursday, Mohammed said the reforms had transformed the corps from an enforcement-driven agency into a technology-driven institution focused on service delivery, accountability, and innovation.
Mohammed noted that one of the most significant changes was the deployment of digital solutions to improve public access to FRSC services and enhance operational efficiency.
He said the corps launched the FRSC Mobile App in September 2024, enabling motorists to verify driver’s licences and vehicle documents, obtain real-time traffic updates, report crashes, access emergency alerts, and receive information from the National Traffic Radio.
