The African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) has announced its nominees for the 2026 edition, marking the ceremony’s return after a two-year hiatus.
The awards, which celebrate outstanding artists, songs, performances, creative impact, and the global influence of African music, last held an edition in 2023.
Anderson Obiagwu, founder of the awards, announced the nominees via Instagram on Wednesday. He said the break was taken to improve the event and promised that this year’s ceremony would be “epic, better and one of a kind.”
Obiagwu also revealed that the 2026 edition will feature AFRIMMA’s first-ever music festival in Dallas, Texas, alongside food and fashion vendors.
“For the last two years, AFRIMMA took a break to make it even bigger and create something sensational. AFRIMMA is coming back bigger and better this year. It’s going to be epic, one of a kind,” he said.
