Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has called for an investigation into the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, following bribery allegations linked to a controversial parastatal.
In a video posted on X, Fayose questioned how an individual could establish a government agency without official approval, criticizing the silence of anti-graft and security agencies.
The controversy stems from claims by Adeniyi Adeyemi, who introduced himself as Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Adeyemi alleged that Gbajabiamila received ₦400 million through a proxy and demanded an additional ₦200 million to secure his appointment.
The Presidency has dismissed the allegations, insisting that Gbajabiamila has no authority to issue appointment letters or create agencies.
Fayose, however, maintained that the matter requires scrutiny:“Our Chief of Staff, Gbajabiamila, needs to be investigated. Nigeria has reached a level where individuals can open parastatals and collect money on behalf of government.
