Team Nigeria’s Samuel Ogazi, on Saturday, won the gold medal in the men’s 400m at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Ogazi finished well ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards, who claimed silver in 44.82s, while South Africa’s Zakithi Nene took bronze in 45.21s.
Nigeria’s second finalist, Edidiong Okon Udo, finished eighth in 45.81s.
Ella Onojuvwevwo claimed bronze medal in the women’s 400m final.
Onojuvwevwo clocked 51.00 seconds, missing the silver medal by just 0.01s.
Jamaica’s Dejanea Oakley won gold in 50.21s, while Barbados’ Sada Williams claimed silver in 50.99s.
