The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Pantami Ward, Gombe Local Government Area of Gombe State, Bala Ngalda, and the party’s Legal Adviser in the ward, Babangida Gololo, have resigned their positions and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The development comes amid continued political realignments across the country as parties intensify consultations and reposition ahead of future electoral contests.
The duo conveyed their resignation in separate letters dated July 27, 2027, addressed to the Secretary of the APC in Pantami Ward and sighted by PUNCH Online on Tuesday.
In his letter, Ngalda announced his resignation as Ward Chairman and his withdrawal from the APC with immediate effect.
He said the decision followed extensive consultations with his family and urged the party to respect his choice.
