Gov Bala Mohammed Reshuffles Bauchi Cabinet, Appoints Four New Commissioners

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, appointing four new commissioners less than a year before the end of his administration.

The changes, unveiled on Thursday, follow the resignation of some commissioners pursuing political ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections, while two others were removed from office.

The newly appointed commissioners are Madaki Ahmad Gololo (Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives), Bashir Yau (Youth and Sports Development), Bashir Adamu Rishi (Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management), and Baraya Ibrahim (Commerce, Industry and Investment).

During the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House in Bauchi, Mohammed emphasized that the appointments were made to ensure equitable representation and to fill vacancies in the State Executive Council. 

He noted that merit, competence, and commitment to development guided the selection process.
