Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has strongly denied rumours of his resignation and threatened legal action against those responsible for spreading the false information.
The Minister made the declaration on Tuesday shortly after briefing President Bola Tinubu on the current security situation at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
“I was shocked when I heard and saw that. I don’t know where that came from,” General Musa said. “But expect that there’ll be people that will not be happy when things are going on well.”
He continued: “Security situation has improved, things are getting better. And so for them, it’s a sad point, and they will always want to make it look as if it’s not so. I’m not going anywhere. I have never discussed that with anybody.”
