What inspired your decision to venture into commercial farming?
I grew up in a family where farming was not just a tradition but a necessity. My father and mother were both teachers. At that time, teachers’ salaries were never enough to cater for a family, so they depended on farming to supplement their income.
As children, we spent a lot of time on the farm. My father cultivated crops while also running a small shop in one of the major markets in our area. My mother sold fish and crayfish.
