The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the public display of academic records and personal particulars of presidential candidates for the 2027 general elections.
On Saturday, documents submitted by President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his running mate, Vice President Kashim Shettima, were made available at INEC offices nationwide.
Tinubu’s RecordsHis Form EC9 included a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University, awarded “with honours” in June 1979.
The file also contained his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate, showing service in Oyo State between December 1982 and November 1983.
His career history listed Mobil Nigeria Limited (1983–1992), Lagos State Government (1999–2007), and the Federal Government (2023–present).
Primary and secondary school years were entered as “0000,” with only his university qualification specified.
Personal details recorded his date of birth as March 29, 1952, age 74, birthplace Lagos, and residence at Queen’s Drive, Ikoyi.
