The Ishk Tolaram Foundation has invested more than N20 million in tools for its vocational training graduates as it seeks to move young Nigerians from skills acquisition into employment and enterprise creation.
The foundation disclosed this at the graduation of 500 beneficiaries of its 2026 vocational skills programme, bringing the number of young Nigerians it says it has trained to more than 2,000.
More than 70 per cent of those trained are currently employed or running businesses, according to the foundation.
Oje Ivagba, Programme Director, Nigeria (Skilling), Ishk Tolaram Foundation, said the organisation’s approach goes beyond vocational instruction by combining technical knowledge with soft skills, workplace experience, certification and post-training business support.
“Through our Alumni Business Support Grant, we have invested over N20 million in tools to help our best graduates,” Ivagba said.
The investment highlighted the economic value of linking vocational training to productive assets. Rather than ending support
