Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was among the goalscorers as Fulham came from behind to beat Portuguese side Farense 2-1 in their final pre-season fixture of the club’s training camp in Portugal on Saturday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Nigeria international produced another composed display in midfield and played a decisive role as Marco Silva’s side concluded their preparations with a confidence-boosting victory.
Fulham fell behind in the first half after Farense took the lead, but responded strongly after the break in search of an equaliser.
Iwobi restored parity after Emile Smith Rowe was brought down inside the penalty area, calmly stepping up to dispatch the resulting spot-kick into the corner with the goalkeeper left with no chance.
