Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has unveiled 18 completed township road projects covering 49.7 kilometres in Bauchi State.
The projects, executed by the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, were constructed at a total cost of N58,726,213,058.25.
Jonathan, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the commissioning ceremony held in Bauchi on Monday, commended the state government for investing in infrastructure, describing the projects as a manifestation of purposeful leadership.
He said quality and reliable infrastructure remained critical to improving the quality of life of citizens and promoting economic growth.
Jonathan stated, “Today’s event is more than the commissioning of roads. It is a manifestation of commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the people.
“No society can attain economic progress without effective and reliable infrastructure. Roads remain critical to connecting communities, creating opportunities and promoting inclusive growth.
