A kidnapped woman and her three daughters from Ariko village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State have successfully escaped from their abductors after spending 180 days in captivity.
This was disclosed in a statement by a security analyst and former Kaduna governorship aide, Reuben Buhari, on Monday.
According to Buhari, the woman and her daughters escaped from the camp on Saturday and embarked on a long trek through the bush despite being weak and exhausted.
The security expert noted that the woman, who was pregnant before her abduction, gave birth while in captivity, but the newborn reportedly died about three weeks later.
He further stated that the family’s youngest daughter, four-year-old Christy, was ill during the escape.
“Her mother carried her on her back, but when she became tired, the 12-year-old sister took over,” Buhari said.
