Twenty-four-year-old Maryam Ibrahim still remembers the sleepless nights she spent worrying about how her labour would go.
As a first-time mother, she was terrified by the several stories she heard from neighbours about labour pain, and the attitudes of midwives during delivery.
Those stories haunted Ibrahim throughout the first trimester of her pregnancy.
