Kano NDC Senator Meets APC Chair, Barau

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Sunday held a closed-door meeting with Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and Senator Rufai Hanga of Kano Central, as political alignments intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda disclosed the meeting in a statement on his verified X account, describing Hanga as one of the foremost leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State. 

He noted that discussions centered on unity, peace, and the continued progress of Kano, stressing the importance of collaboration among political leaders for the benefit of the people.

“Our engagement was marked by frank, constructive, and cordial discussions centred on the unity and continued progress of Kano State,” Yilwatda said, adding that leaders must foster dialogue, build consensus, and strengthen democratic foundations.
