Abdulrahman Shehu, the newly appointed Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, has unveiled an ambitious reform agenda aimed at transforming the facility into a leading centre of excellence, with renewed focus on staff welfare, infrastructure development and quality healthcare delivery.
Shehu made this known during an interaction with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Kogi State Council in his office, over the weekend.
He outlined his administration’s commitment to repositioning the hospital through teamwork, professionalism and patient – centred services, adding that members of staff remain the hospital’s greatest asset, stressing that creating a conducive working environment and boosting staff morale would be among his immediate priorities.
He said, “a motivated workforce is essential to delivering efficient, quality and comprehensive healthcare services to patients”.
