The Kwara State Government has fixed Saturday, August 1, 2026, for the conduct of the Common Entrance Placement Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the state, with the government announcing that it will fully sponsor the exercise for all registered candidates.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Peter Amogbonjaye, the government also declared that no registered pupil would be required to pay any fee for the examination.
It noted that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had approved the full sponsorship as part of efforts to expand access to quality basic education.
The state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Lawal Olohungbebe, said the examination would be conducted simultaneously at accredited centres across the 16 local government areas of the state and would commence at 8am.
