The Lagos State Judiciary has unveiled the programme of activities for the commencement of the 2026/2027 New Legal Year, with a thanksgiving service scheduled for September 21 and a legal year summit to be held the following day.
The Chief Registrar of the Lagos State Judiciary, Tajudeen Elias, disclosed this in a statement, inviting the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, members of the Bench and Bar, and the general public to participate in the events.
According to him, the thanksgiving service will take place simultaneously at 10am on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Central Mosque on Nnamdi Azikiwe Street, Lagos, and the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.
He said the choice of the two venues underscored the state judiciary’s commitment to inclusivity and interfaith harmony.
