The Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Prof. Oby Orogbu, has been honoured with the ‘Legislator of the Year’ award at the fifth edition of the Anambra Man of the Year awards.
The award was presented to the lawmaker on Saturday, at the Stanel Dome, Awka, during a gathering that brought together distinguished personalities and leading voices from across Anambra State to celebrate excellence, leadership and outstanding contributions to society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Orogbu said the recognition represented more than a personal honour, adding that the honour reflected not only her individual efforts, but also the shared journey of the people she represents towards progress, development and meaningful impact.
She added that it was an acknowledgement of a journey that has taken her from the classroom to the National Assembly, where she has continued to combine scholarship, grassroots connection and legislative responsibility
