Veteran entertainer and social commentator Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has revealed that Nigerian technology entrepreneur Leo Stan Ekeh convinced him to channel his influence into health advocacy by establishing a foundation instead of dedicating all his energy to activism.
The disclosure came during the launch of Charly Boy’s memoir, “999: The Memoir of Charly Boy’, at the Alliance Française de Lagos/Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, where the event also doubled as a fundraising campaign for prostate cancer awareness.

Addressing a hall filled with political leaders, business executives and cultural figures, Charly Boy paused the ceremony to publicly acknowledge Ekeh, saying the Zinox Group chairman planted the idea that eventually led to the creation of the Charly Boy Foundation.
