The air component of Operation HADIN KAI says it has destroyed a suspected ISWAP stronghold and logistics hub during an air interdiction operation in Borno state.
According to Zagazola Makama, the operation was carried out at about 2:40 pm on Friday at Yaganari, a known terrorist enclave within the Gezuwa general area of the state.
The platform quoted sources as saying the location had been used by insurgents to regroup and stockpile logistics for planned attacks.
The sources said the strike followed credible intelligence indicating increased terrorist activities and the concentration of fighters in the area.
Before the operation, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions were conducted to verify the information.
The surveillance reportedly identified multiple terrorist structures, logistics facilities and movements of suspected insurgents within the target area.
