MTN Foundation equips teachers with AI skills

The MTN Foundation, in partnership with the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab and Co-Creation Hub, has launched a digital skills training programme aimed at equipping Nigerian teachers with artificial intelligence tools to improve classroom delivery and learning outcomes.

The initiative, which forms part of the ongoing 12-week Teachers Programme, is designed to help educators integrate emerging technologies into lesson planning, content creation and student assessment as schools increasingly adapt to the demands of the digital economy.

During the programme’s 10th week, Oluwatobi Olayanju, a data scientist and business analyst at Data Science Nigeria, led a virtual training session focused on artificial intelligence literacy, responsible technology use and practical applications of AI in education.
