NDC Demands Gbajabiamila’s Sack Over Alleged PFIPC Scandal

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the immediate removal of President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, following allegations linking him to a controversial scheme involving the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, the NDC described the allegations as “damning,” accusing Gbajabiamila of colluding with Prince Mathew Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to head the non-existent PFIPC.

According to Adeyemi, the phantom agency allegedly received allocations in the 2026 budget and opened multiple accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria, including a domiciliary and Treasury Single Account.

The NDC questioned how such accounts could exist when the Presidency has publicly denied the agency’s legitimacy.

The party also raised concerns over staffing approvals, alleging that the Head of the Civil Service approved 314 positions for the PFIPC.

More troubling, it claimed Gbajabiamila demanded 48% of the agency’s take-off grant amounting to ₦27.3
