The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the implementation of the 2026 Fiscal Policy Measures and Tariff Amendments approved by President Bola Tinubu, saying the new framework is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s fiscal and trade policy, enhance revenue generation and improve the country’s economic competitiveness.
Abdullahi Maiwada, National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs.
Maiwada said the approved measures introduce comprehensive amendments to Nigeria’s Customs and Excise Tariff framework aimed at supporting domestic industrial development, facilitating legitimate trade and improving the administration of fiscal and tariff policies nationwide.
