Linda Noskova, the Czech tennis star, has clinched her maiden Grand Slam title after defeating her compatriot Karolina Muchova in the final of the 2026 Wimbledon women’s singles tournament.
In an all-Czech encounter on centre court on Saturday, Noskova overcame a dramatic second-set collapse to secure a 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 victory.
Noskova got off to a flying start, dominating the opening exchanges to comfortably take the first set 6-2.
However, Muchova staged a brilliant fightback in the second set, capitalising on a major wobble from the youngster to claim it 5-7 and force a deciding set.
Regrouping in the third set, Noskova rediscovered her composure, ultimately sealing the historic win on her sixth championship point.
