Ntel, the telecom operator formed from the assets of Nigeria’s former national carrier NITEL, is seeking a comeback by shifting its focus from mobile services to digital infrastructure, fibre networks and real estate development.
The company unveiled its “The Next Frontier” strategy on Monday, outlining plans to build an integrated digital infrastructure, connectivity and real estate business anchored on three pillars: Beam, Eden and Titan.
The strategy comes as ntel continues efforts to regain spectrum assets and strengthen its position in Nigeria’s telecommunications market through strategic partnerships and infrastructure development.
Under the Beam pillar, ntel said it is expanding its connectivity offerings with products including WakaGo, a global e-SIM solution targeted at international travellers, and AirFibre, a fixed wireless broadband service designed to provide internet access for businesses.
