The Ogun State Executive Council has approved the construction of 450 housing units, new official quarters for members of the State House of Assembly, the reconstruction of the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, the rehabilitation of strategic roads across the state and the upgrading of some traditional stools.
The approvals, according to a statement on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, are part of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s efforts to deepen infrastructure development, strengthen governance institutions and preserve the state’s cultural heritage.
Akinmade said that the state government has “approved the construction of 450 two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows with supporting infrastructure, 28 official quarters for members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, 28 sellable duplexes at Ibara Government Reservation Area Scheme II and the reconstruction of the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja”.
