Edo Governor, Monday Okpebholo, celebrated the groundbreaking of an ultra-modern General Hospital in Iguobazuwa, which serves as the headquarters of the Ovia South-West Local Government Area of the state.
This initiative aims to deliver modern secondary healthcare services to residents of Ovia Federal Constituency and nearby communities.
The governor’s deputy, Dennis Idahosa, represented him at the groundbreaking ceremony.

A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Friday Aghedo, indicated that Idahosa characterized the endeavor as a vital investment in the health and wellbeing of the populace.
He noted that it would enhance access to quality medical services for residents, minimizing the need for long-distance travel for treatment.
Idahosa mentioned that the planned two-storey hospital, strategically positioned in the center of Iguobazuwa, would facilitate better medical care, especially in emergency situations.
