Oyebanji names new govt buildings after ex-govs Fayemi, Fayose, Oni

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has named some newly constructed government buildings after former governors of the state in recognition of their contributions to the development of the state.

The former governors honoured with the gesture are Ayodele Fayose, Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yinka Oyebode, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.

Oyebode stated, “Two of the buildings, named after the immediate past Governor, Dr Fayemi, and a former governor, Chief Fayose, are scheduled for commissioning on Friday, July 31, 2026, and Monday, August 3, 2026, respectively.

“Another building, named after former Governor Segun Oni, is at an advanced stage of completion and is slated for commissioning in October.

“It would be recalled that in October 2024, Governor Oyebanji named the remodelled Presidential Lodge after the first civilian governor of the state, Otunba
