Pastor Adeboye Commends Tinubu’s Response to Insecurity

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has defended President Bola Tinubu against persistent public criticism that his administration is failing to properly tackle the worsening security crisis in the country.

Speaking in Washington at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala, Adeboye maintained that the President has fulfilled his primary duty by issuing the necessary directives to the nation’s security agencies.

The cleric argued that it is unrealistic for citizens to expect a head of state to personally engage in physical combat against criminals, explaining that once a commander-in-chief hands down operational orders to the military, their institutional role has been met.

He drew comparisons to global leaders, pointing out that even the President of the United States directs military strategy from the capital without physically stepping onto the battlefield.
