
Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, known professionally as Peller, revealed that bank officials rejected nearly $30,000 in U.S. dollar bills sprayed on him during his traditional wedding ceremony.
The incident occurred following his star-studded wedding to fellow creator Elizabeth Amadou (Jarvis) on August 1, 2026, in Lekki, Lagos.
Speaking on a TikTok livestream, Peller explained that he went to his bank to deposit the cash gifts collected during the event. While local Naira currency was accepted and processed without issues, bank tellers flagged the foreign bills as counterfeit notes upon verification.
According to the streamer, the total value of the rejected counterfeit bills approached $30,000.
