Nigerian singer Peter Okoye (Mr P) of the defunct group Psquare has tendered an apology for his ‘Who Naija language help?’ comment.
Mr P engaged an X user, who asked him if his children can speak Igbo, Peter questioned who Naija language help.
His statement drew massive backlash, and his twin brother jumped on the bandwagon, indirectly condemning him for it.
Paul said he is a nobody without the culture, native language, and pride of a Nigerian. He said he is 100% Nigerian and proudly Igbo.
“I’m a nobody, I repeat, a nobody without the culture, native language, and pride of a Nigerian. 100% proudly Nigerian. 100% proudly Igbo”.
Taking to his Twitter, Peter tendered an apology to the public, saying he takes full responsibility for his words. He clarified that he doesn’t hate Nigerian languages or our culture.
