Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy and Colombian pop icon Shakira shared a warm moment during rehearsals for the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
Burna Boy (Damini Ogulu) posted a video on his X handle on Friday, showing the duo embracing, smiling, and laughing together at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA. The pair were captured in casual attire outside production trailers.
He captioned the clip: “Sunday Prep! @shakira See you at the @FIFAWorldCup Final! Dai dai, ikó, dale, allez, let’s go!”
FIFA announced that Burna Boy and Shakira will perform Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the Super Bowl-style halftime show at Sunday’s final.
Reports indicate the halftime break may be extended to around 30 minutes (including the traditional 15-minute pundit analysis and an 11-minute performance segment) to accommodate the show.
The star-studded performance will also feature co-headliners such as BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, conductor Gustavo Dudamel,
