Ambassador Nkechi Ufochukwu has officially assumed office as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Israel after presenting her Letters of Credence to Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, saying the ceremony took place in Jerusalem on Monday.
The ministry said, “The presentation of the Letters of Credence formally marks the commencement of her diplomatic assignment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Israel and reaffirms the Federal Government’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding cordial relations between Nigeria and Israel.”
Speaking after the ceremony, according to Channels Television, Ufochukwu conveyed the goodwill of President Bola Tinubu and the people of Nigeria to the Government and people of Israel, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening relations between both countries.
