A truck accidentally pulled down a high-tension electricity line serving the WiseBuyers Supermarket Distribution Transformer in Arepo, Ogun State, on Monday night, damaging two electricity poles and creating a safety hazard for residents.
The incident, which occurred around 9 p.m., left one of the poles leaning dangerously while electrical cables were left hanging low, posing risks to motorists, pedestrians, nearby businesses and residents.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, the Secretary of the Electricity Committee of the Arepo Area Community Development Council, Akinlolu Akinpelumi, urged residents to avoid the affected area and exercise caution.
