A new national campaign aimed at changing how Nigerians tell their country’s story has shifted its focus to university campuses, as organisers seek to mobilise young people to challenge what they describe as deficit narratives that have long shaped Nigeria’s image at home and abroad.
The campaign, Pivot Nigeria: Reframing the Lens – Campus Series, debuted at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), marking the first phase of a nationwide university engagement programme designed to transform students from passive observers into active ambassadors of a more balanced Nigerian narrative.
