Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have impounded 21 vehicles during an intelligence-led enforcement operation carried out in Abraka and Ozoro communities over traffic violations.
The operation, according to the command, was aimed at enforcing traffic regulations, improving public safety and preventing vehicles with improper documentation from being used for criminal activities.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State, Superintendent of Police Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Warri on Wednesday.
Edafe said the enforcement exercise was conducted on July 21, 2026, at about 3:00 p.m., with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, leading command operatives on patrol.
“During the operation, 21 vehicles were impounded for various offences, including non-display of registration number plates, covered number plates, and expired vehicle particulars,” the police spokesman said.
