Popular political singer Muhammadu Buhari, known as Kosan Waka, has died at the age of 47.
The singer died on Sunday, according to his family, and will be buried in Tsanni Village, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, at 5 pm.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor expressed sadness over the singer’s death and extended his condolences to the family.
Governor Yusuf sympathised with the late singer’s mother, relatives, friends, associates, fans, and the people of Kano State.
He described Kosan Waka as “a Kano-based patriotic son of Katsina whose music transcended politics and served as a powerful tool for promoting unity, culture and public enlightenment
The governor prayed for Allah to forgive the late singer’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family
