The Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed four senior police officers and imposed disciplinary measures on 31 others.
In a statement on Tuesday, Torty Njoku Kalu, PSC spokesperson, said the four senior officers were dismissed after they were found guilty of “gross misconduct, unprofessional conduct, and acts unbecoming of public officers”.
Kalu said the decision was reached during the commission’s plenary meeting in Abuja.
The PSC spokesperson said 10 police officers received reduction in rank, two were compulsorily retired, three received warning letters, while seven were exonerated.
“In addition to the dismissals, the commission approved a range of disciplinary actions which affected multiple officers,” the PSC spokesperson said.
