The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has dismissed reports claiming that a faction of the party has collapsed into the Rainbow Coalition, a political structure led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt, the State Publicity Secretary, Chizi Enyi, described the reports as false and misleading, insisting that the ADC remains a united party under the leadership of the Senator David Mark-led National Executive Committee.
Enyi stressed that individuals parading themselves as ADC representatives in the publications are neither recognised officials nor authorised spokespersons of the party.
“Any political declaration, alliance, endorsement or purported ‘collapse’ announced by such individuals is entirely personal and cannot, under any circumstance, be attributed to or bind the African Democratic Congress,” he said.
The party further rejected references to an alleged “Ibe Kachukwu faction,” stating that no such group exists within its ranks. It accused the reports
