The Rivers State Police Command has commenced a comprehensive 14-day health assessment outreach tagged ‘Know Your Numbers’ for its officers, men, and their families.
The programme, which began on Monday, is being implemented in partnership with Police Health Maintenance Limited and the non-governmental organisation, Healthlink and Bridge Initiative.
It aims to monitor vital signs and detect medical conditions commonly linked to the demanding nature of police work.
Flagging off the initiative at the Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Alhassan Kawu, emphasised that the welfare of personnel remains a top priority.
“The Commissioner recognises that the strength of the Nigeria Police Force lies in the health and wellbeing of its officers, men and their families,” Adepoju stated.
“This outreach is organised specifically for you, the officers and men who serve daily to keep Rivers State safe, and for your loved ones
