Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, a former close ally of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused the latter of political victimisation, claiming he was denied the chance to contest for political offices on flimsy grounds.
Hanga, who fell out with the Kwankwasiyya movement, made the allegation during a radio programme in Kano on Wednesday.
He expressed dismay over Kwankwaso citing his age and health condition as reasons for blocking his ambition to contest for either deputy governor or return to the Senate.“As of today, I’m healthier than Kwankwaso.
His frequent references to my leg condition are nothing but a sham that cannot stand,” Hanga boasted. “Let me tell you, on age, he is two years older than I am.”
The senator argued that his leg problem does not affect his ability to perform legislative duties.
