Soldiers Have Arrested Foreign Nationals Linked to Insecurity in Nigeria – Bwala

Nigerian troops have arrested several foreign nationals suspected of being involved in activities that fuel insecurity across the country, according to statements attributed to presidential aide Daniel Bwala. 

  

 In a notable operation, the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, revealed that at least four Pakistani nationals were detained over alleged links to terrorism in the North-East. 

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects were involved in arms trafficking and providing training to terrorist groups such as ISWAP and JAS operating in the region.  

  

Abubakar noted that the presence of these foreign mercenaries has enhanced the capabilities of local terrorist networks, making them more lethal and tactically sophisticated. 

This includes the use of drones for surveillance and attacks, advanced IED fabrication, and setting sophisticated traps against security forces.
