The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke to stop attributing his political challenges to President Bola Tinubu and former governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
In a statement issued in Osogbo on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, the party criticized Adeleke’s remarks at a campaign rally held the previous day. At the rally, Adeleke alleged that Tinubu and Oyetola were behind his political misfortunes ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
Olabisi noted that Adeleke also accused the police of compromising against his administration, while insisting he remained the Chief Security Officer of the state.
The APC dismissed Adeleke’s claims as baseless, accusing him instead of sponsoring political violence. “The governor resorts to dancing when intellect is required. His allegations against President Tinubu and Oyetola are frivolous and a cover for his imminent defeat,” Olabisi said.
