A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ayekooto Akindele, has slammed Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, known by his stage name Falz, over the latter’s recent comments against the Nigerian First Lady, Remi Tinubu.
Falz had, during an interview on Arise TV, lambasted the First Lady for appealing to Afrobeats artistes to stop purchasing flashy cars and use the money for charity foundations.
The First Lady, who made the appeal in Lokoja on Saturday, urged the artistes to support small-scale businesses, stating that the government is being overwhelmed.
Reacting, Falz argued that it is the sole responsibility of the government to lift struggling citizens and business owners out of poverty.
“Why asking individuals when this is actually your job to do? What do you mean by pressure on the government? Did anyone force you to take up the job?”, the rapper asked.
